IDL 1070 - Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO)

This course will assist students with preparation for CNSC certification and written examination  component as an exposure device operator for Radiographic Testing (RT). Topic include properties of matter, radiation and radioactivity, radiation units, radiation measurement and detection using safety equipment such as survey, DRD, and alarming meters. Further topics include the biological effects of radiation, controlling radiation exposure, gamma ray exposure devices, emergency operating procedures and CNSC Regulations PCP-09. EDO Practical Examination is not included and can be booked after completetion of the CEDO class with a seperate fee. Students must have the prerequesit Math for NDT class or math examination completed prior to the CEDO class.
